The Director of Nursing (DON) is one of our professionals on the palliative care team. Our DON has been specially trained in caring for patients with a life limiting illness while providing education and care to the families. Our DON can educate the family and the caregivers on recognizing potential symptoms and providing safe competent care. The DON is also responsible for the education, direction, and supervision of the staff. We also employ licensed vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants. Our nursing team believes that patients with a life limiting illness deserve dignity, comfort, and respect; while their families deserve compassionate care and support. The nursing staff are responsible for coordinating the specialized care plan designed by our Medical Director. The nurse will be your main point of contact with the company and is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
